Jaya Jaya Sankara Hara Hara Sankara – A very important temple Kumbabishekam coming up in the next few months (Dec 5 2016). This temple has so much significance including Sri Maha Periyava emphasizing the importance of all of us to visit this Kshethram. Tons of effort has been put in by Smt. Mahalakshmi Subramanian Mami who along with the villagers has taken up the monumental task of completing this temple renovation and Maha Kumbabishekam. However, she cannot do it alone and needs our help. Kindly request all Periyava devotees to come together and show your support for this great cause.

தனம் தரும் கல்வி தரும் ஒரு நாளும் தளர்வு அறியா
மனம் தரும் தெய்வ வடிவும் தரும் நெஞ்சில் வஞ்சம் இல்லா
இனம் தரும் நல்லன எல்லாம் தரும் அன்பர் என்பவர்க்கே

1. திருவிடைவாயப்பர் இடைவாய்நாதர் புண்ணியகோடீஸ்வரர்
என்ற திருநாமத்துடன் விளங்குபவர்.

2. இங்குள்ள அம்பிகையோ அபிராமி உமையாள் என்ற
திருநாமத்துடன் விளங்குபவள்.

3. திருஞானசம்பந்தரால் பாடல் பெற்ற அற்புதத் திருக்கோவில்.
திருமுறை ஏடுகளில் அன்றி கல்வெட்டுகளிலிருந்து
கண்டெடுக்கப்பட்ட 275 தேவாரத் திருத்தலம்.

4. நமது மனதில் உள்ள அத்தனை குழப்பங்களுக்கும் விடையாக
இருக்கும் அருமையான திருக்கோவில்.

5. மஹாபெரியவர்கள் இத்தலத்து இறைவனை அனைவரும்
தரிசிக்க வேண்டும் என்று வற்புறுத்தியத் திருத்தலம்.
சுயம்புவாகத் தோன்றி தரிசித்த மாத்திரத்திலேயே முக்தியை
அளிக்கும் சிறப்புடையக் கோவில்.

6. தரிசிப்பவருக்கு கோடி புண்ணியத்தை அருளும் ஆலயம்.
திருமணத் தடைகள் நீங்க குழந்தை பாக்கியம் அருள
பிரார்த்தனையாக பஞ்சமூர்த்திக்கு அபிஷேகம் செய்யும் உயர்ந்த
ஆலயம்.

பேரன்புடையீர்,

செந்நெல்லும், செந்தமிழும் இரண்டறக் கலந்து விரவிக் கிடக்குமாம் மருதநிலமாம், சோறுடைத்த சோழவள நாட்டில் அடிமுடி அறிய முடியா அருட்பெருங்கருணையாம் எம்பெருமானார் உலக உயிர்களை காத்தருளும் பொருட்டு எழுந்தருளியுள்ள எண்ணிலடங்கா சிவப்பதியாகிய சிவாலயங்களுள் காவிரி நதியின் தென்கரையில் அமைந்துள்ள தலங்களில் முக்கியமான தலமானதும் மகாபாரத காலத்தில் பஞ்சபாண்டவர்களின் தாகம் தீர்க்க அவர்களின் தாய் குந்திதேவியாரால் உருவாக்கப்பட்டு இன்றளவும் பாண்டவர்களின் பெயரினைத் தாங்கி பாண்டவையாறு என்றும் நாமத்தை உடைய நதிக்கரையில் அமைந்துள்ள முக்திக்கு வாயிலாக விளங்கும் தலம் தான் திருவிடையாத் திருத்தலம் ஆகும்.

திருஞானசம்பந்தர் தனது தேவார பதிகங்களாலும் சிற்றரசர் ஐயடிகள் காடவர்கோன் தனது பாடலாலும் பாடி இவ்வூரையும் ஆலயத்தையும் சிறப்பித்துள்ளார்.

திருஞானசம்பந்தர் தேவாரத்தில் குறிப்பிட்டபடி நமது துக்கங்களுக்கு விடை காணமுடியாத நம் சம்சார சாகரத்திற்கு விடையாகவும் முக்திக்கு வாயிலாகவும் இத்திருத்தலம் விளங்குவதால் விடைவாயல் என்று பெயர் பெற்றுள்ளது.

தோடுடைய செவியன் தூவென் மதிசூடி கொன்றை மாலை அணிந்து விடையேறும் உமையொரு பாகனின் திருப்பாதங்களை நாம் அடையும் வாயிலாக இத்திருத்தலம் அமைவதாலும் விடைவாயல் என்றும் விளங்குகின்றது.

காவிரியின் துணை நதிகளான வெண்ணாறு, பாண்டவையாறு, வெள்ளையாறு மூன்று நதிகளுக்கு நடுவே வீற்றிருப்பதாலும் திரு இடைவாயிலாக விளங்குகிறது.

பக்தனுக்காக தன் தாடங்கத்தினால் முழுநிலவு காட்டிய அன்னை அபிராமி தன் பக்தர்களுக்காக இத்தலத்திலேயும் அபிராமி என்னும் திருநாமம் கொண்டு கருணை மழை பொழிய காத்திருக்கிறாள்.

நம்மை இப்பூவுலகில் இம்மைக்கு இடையறா களிப்பு தந்து முக்தி பேறும் நல்க அம்மையோடு அப்பரும் முக்திக்கு வாயில் என இத்தலத்தில் எழுந்தருளியிருப்பது மிக மிக அற்புதம்.

சிவனின் வாகனமாகவும் கொடியாகவும் விடை எனப்படுகிற ரிஷபம் இத்தலத்தில் விசேஷமாக உள்ளது. சிவத்தலமான இத்தலம் விடையுடன் நெருங்கிய தொடர்பு இருப்பதாலும், இத்தலம் திருவிடைவாசல் என பெயர் பெற்றதாகக் கூறப்படுகிறது.

இக்கோயில் முதலாம் குலோத்துங்க சோழனால் கட்டப்பட்டிருக்கிறது. திருவிடையார் என்றும் சூரிய குலத்து அரசன் கோயில் கட்டி வழிபட்டத் தலமானதாலும் இத்தலத்திற்கு திருவிடைவாசல் என்று பெயர் ஏற்பட்டிருக்கலாம் என்று கூறப்படுகிறது.

திருஞானசம்பந்தர் காலத்து முன்பிருந்தே இத்தலம் திருவிடைவாசல் என அழைக்கப்பட்டிருக்கிறது என்பதை சம்பந்தர் தனது பாடலில் “விடைவாயே” என குறிப்பிட்டு பாடியிருக்கிறார்.

அதிசயத்தின் அடிப்படையில் இத்தல இறைவன் சுயம்பு மூர்த்தியாக அருள்கிறார். இவர் மீது வைகாசி, மார்கழி மாதங்களில் சூரிய ஒளிபடுவது சிறப்பு.

கிழக்கு பார்த்த கோவில். கோவில் பிராகாரத்தில் விநாயகர், தட்சிணாமூர்த்தி, நர்த்தன விநாயகர், லிங்கோத்பவர், பிரம்மா, துர்க்கை, சண்டிகேஸ்வரர், நந்தி, கஜலட்சுமி, வள்ளி தெய்வானை சமேத சுப்பிரமணியர், நவக்கிரகம், பைரவர், நால்வர், நாகராஜர், அய்யனார், மற்றும் சூரியன் சந்திரன் வாகனத்துடன் உள்ளனர்.

பிரார்த்தனை:

திருமணத்தில் தடை உள்ளவர்கள், குழந்தை பாக்கியம் வேண்டுபவர்கள் தங்களது வேண்டுதல் நிறைவேற பஞ்ச மூர்த்திகளுக்கு அபிஷேகம் செய்கிறார்கள்.

இத்தல சாஸ்தா குழந்தை வடிவில் பாலசாஸ்தாவாக அருளுகிறார். இத்தல தட்சிணாமூர்த்தி சிம்மாசன மண்டபத்தில் வீற்றிருக்கிறார் என்பது மிக மிக சிறப்பாகும்.

காவிரியின் கிளைநதிகளான வெண்ணாறு, வெள்ளாறு, பாண்டவையாறு மற்றும் கடல் இத்தலத்திற்கு மாலையாக அமைந்துள்ளது.

இவ்வளவு சிறப்பு வாய்ந்த இந்த ஆலயத்தின் திருப்பணிகள் மாண்புமிகு தமிழக முதல்வர் புரட்சித் தலைவி டாக்டர் ஜெ ஜெயலலிதா அவர்கள் நல்லாட்சியில் கிராம மக்கள் பெரும் முயற்சியால் துவங்கப்பட்டு நூதன ராஜகோபுரம், கொடிமரம் அமைக்கப்பட்டு மஹாகும்பாபிஷேகமானது சென்னையை சேர்ந்த ஸ்ரீமதி மஹாலட்சுமி சுப்பிரமண்யன் தலைமையில் எட்டு காலங்கள் உத்தம பட்ச யாகசாலையாக அமைக்கப்பட்டு நாளது துர்முகி வருடம் கார்த்திகை மாதம் 19ம் தேதி (4-12-2016) திருவோண நட்சத்திரம் அமிர்தயோகம் காலை 9-10.30 மணிக்குள்ளாக காளியம்மன் மற்றும் மாரியம்மன் திருக்கோவில்களுக்கும் துர்முகி வருடம் கார்த்திகை மாதம் 20ம் தேதி (5-12-2016) திங்கட்கிழமை சஷ்டி திதி அவிட்ட நட்சத்திரம் அமிர்தயோகம் கூடிய மகரலக்னத்தில் மூலவர் மற்றும் பரிவார ஸ்வாமிகளுக்கு மஹாகும்பாபிஷேகமானது காலை 9 மணிக்கு மேல் 10.30 மணிக்குள் மடாதிபதிகள், ஆதீனகர்த்தர்கள், அமைச்சர் பெருமக்கள், நாடாளுமன்ற உறுப்பினர்கள், பாராளுமன்ற உறுப்பினர்கள், மாவட்ட ஆட்சியர், அரசாங்க அதிகாரிகள், ஆன்றோர்கள் சான்றோர்கள் முன்னிலையில் வெகுசிறப்பாக கீழ்கண்ட நிகழ்ச்சி நிரலின் படி நடைபெற உள்ளதால் மக்கள் பெருந்திரளாக வந்திருந்து இறைவனின் அருளுக்கு பாத்திரமாக வேண்டுகிறோம்.

திருவிழா: சித்ரா பவுர்ணமி இத்தலத்தில் சிறப்பாக கொண்டாடப்படுகிறது.

English Translation

Maha Kumbabishekam Sri Abirami Amman Sametha Sri Punniyakoteeswarar Temple – Dec. 5 2016

Jeernodhdharana Ashta Bandhana Mahakumbhabhishekham Invitation

Date: Durmukhi Year, Karthigai Month 20th Day (5-12-2016 Monday)

1. Main deity’s name is Thiruvidaivayyappar Idaivaynathar Punniyakoteeswarar

2. Ambigai here has a name as Abirami Umaiyaal.

3. Beautiful ancient temple that was sung by Sri Thirugnana Sambandhar.

4. Apart from Thirumurai manuscripts, found from stone engravings and got added as 275th temple to the
list of temples that were praised in Dhevaram.
5. This temple is an answer for all the confusions in our mind.

6. Kanchi Sri Maha Periyava had stressed that everyone should have darshan of the deity in this
temple.

7. This temple has a significance that the main deity, a self-existent one (Swayambhu), grants mukthi
immediately after having darshan.

8. This temple blesses the devotees with Koti Punniyam (crores of benefits).

9. To get rid of hindrances for one’s marriage and to get the fortune of having a baby, devotees, as a mark of
prayer, perform abhishekham to Panchamoorthi in this temple.

Dear Devotees,

In Maruthanilam (agricultural lands), in Chozha kingdom, among many Lord Siva temples, one of the important temples in the south banks of river Cauvery, and in the banks of Pandavaiyaru, a river that was created during Mahabharatha days, to quench Pancha Pandava’s thirst, by their mother Kunti Devi, is this temple with a name “Thiruvidaiyaa” Temple.

Sri Thiru Gnanasambhandar, in Dhevaram and Iyadigal Kadavarkon, in his poems have praised this temple extensively.

As Thiru Gnanasambhandar mentioned in his Dhevaram, since this temple serves as a gate to mukhti, liberating all of us from the sorrows and difficulties of this samsara sagaram, bears the name “Vidaivaayal”.

As this temple is between Vennaaru, Pandavaiyaaru, Vellaiyaaru, the three tributaries of river Cauvery, it is named as Thiru Idaivaayil.

Eswari who showed full moon using ear ring for a devotee, is also waiting to shower her grace in this temple too with the same name as Goddess Abirami.

It is indeed a wonder that Eswaran and Eswari are present in this temple to grant Mukthi (Moksha) to all the devotees. Lord Siva’s vahanam (vehicle) Rishabham also named as “Vidai” is very important in this temple. As this temple is very closely connected with Vidai, it is told that it got the name as Thiruvidaivaasal.

This temple was built by Kulothunga Chozhan I. Because a Surya dynasty king Thiruvidayaar built and prayed in this temple, it is believed that it got the name Thiruvidaivaasal.

Even before Thiru Gnanasambhandhar’s days, this temple should have had the name as Thiruvidaivaasal as Thiru Gnanasambhandhar in his Dhevaram, mentions “Vidaivaaye”.

It is indeed a wonder that the main deity is a self-existent one and also sunlight falls on Him during the Tamil months of Vaikasi and Margazhi.

This temple faces east direction. Inside the temple, Vinayaka, Dakshinamoorthy, Nardhana Vinayaka, Lingodhbhavar, Brahma, Durga, Chandikeswarar, Nandhi, Gajalakshmi, Subramanya along with his consort Valli and Deivayana, Navagraha, Bhairava, Naalvar, Nagaraja, Ayyanar and Surya Chandra with their vahanams (Vehicles) are present in this temple.

Prayers:

To get rid of hindrances for one’s marriage and to get the fortune of having a baby, devotees perform abhishekham to Panchamoorthi in this temple.

Here, Saastha is in a child form and graces as BalaSaastha. It is distinct that Dakshinamoorthy is present in Simhasana Mandapam in this temple. River cauvery’s tributaries along with the sea forms as a garland for this temple.

This temple that has these many significant features, under the governance of TamilNadu Chief Minister Puratchi Thalaivi Dr. J. Jayalalithaa and due to the efforts from village people work is done and built Raja Gopuram and Kodimaram. Now, Maha Kumbhabhishekam is planned under the guidance of Smt. Mahalakshmi Subramanian during Durmukhi year, Karthigai month 19th day (4-12-2016) Thiruvonam star, Amirthayoga between 9 AM – 10.30 AM for Kali Amman and Maariamman temples and during Durmukhi year, Karthigai month 20th day (5-12-2016) Monday, Shashti thithi, Avittam star, Amirthayogam, Makara Lagnam, as the Kumbhabhishekham is planned for the main deity and other deities in the temple between 9AM -10.30PM in the presence of various religious heads, ministers, MLAs and MPs based on the programme schedule mentioned below, we request all devotees to come in large numbers and receive the grace of Bhagawan.
